Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical development from concept to mass production: appearance feasibility, detailed parts, complex surfaces, and architecture optimization.
- Drive prototype design, fabrication, assembly, debugging, documentation, reviews, and key technical decisions.
- Review injection and stamping molds with manufacturing engineers, improving manufacturability, cost, and assembly efficiency.
- Resolve strength, thermal, tolerance, material, and reliability issues through root-cause analysis.
- Serve as the mechanical technical contact for customers and internal teams, clarifying needs and delivering on schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering, materials forming, or a related field; 5+ years designing consumer electronics, medical devices, or precision equipment.
- Proficient in Creo/ProE and AutoCAD, including complex surfaces, structural analysis, and end-to-end product ownership.
- Know metal and plastic properties, including ABS, PC, PMMA, and POM, and injection molding, stamping, and surface finishing requirements.
- Experience with mold design and defect analysis; strength, thermal, and tolerance simulation is preferred.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to coordinate teams through complex projects.
